For some people “God” is an unreasonable concept.

For many men, the existence of “God” is just as unfathomable as the reason why women go to the toilet in groups. For many women, “God” is as incomprehensible as men’s ability to think about precisely nothing.

One of the most common objections to Christianity is that the Bible cannot be trusted because it is full of contradictions. The arguments surrounding the subject of Biblical inerrancy are still debated by Christians even thousands of years after the original texts were written.

This April a British technology pioneer by the name of Kevin Ashton created a fictional Mexican social media guru. Ashton spent $50 (£33) on buying ‘Santiago Swallow’ 90,000 Twitter followers and creating a Wikipedia page for him. The process took just two hours, but it fooled thousands of people across the world.

The words blind, unconditional and even Courtney are all possible prefixes to the word ‘love’. But one prefix to always be avoided is ‘cheap’.
Love is not cheap. True love is costly. Self-sacrifice is at love’s core. Putting your wishes to one side for the good of another person is true love.
So if your motive for discovering a ‘cheap date’ is because you hate spending money on anyone but yourself, this article isn’t for you.

Last month’s blog ‘To pursue or not to pursue’, which argued fear of rejection often stops men from pursuing women generated plenty of discussion.

In the comments a few of you asked if women should pursue men. You’ll be pleased to know you can do whatever you like and don’t need my permission! As for seeking God’s permission, the Bible wasn’t written as a guide to dating, but it’s true Ruth chased Boaz. And God didn’t seem to mind that….or so the argument goes. But lets remember the marriage of Ruth and Boaz was also an arranged one!

‘TAKE wives!” the preacher shouted. “The word is TAKE”!” The congregation laughed as the T word – pulled from an Old Testament scripture – was emphasized over and over again. The message was crystal clear: Men should pursue their girl to the very end. What end? Marriage, of course.
